CIVL 627 Urban Water Systems and Stormwater Management3 semester hours Overview of the theory and practical applied hydraulic design in an urban setting. Topics include potable water conveyance facilities with pump stations and reservoirs; storm water conveyance systems including pipe, street gutter, storm drains, and culverts. Emphasis is placed on the design Low Impact Development (LID) biorentention, and other facilities for regulatory compliance and sustainability, as well as on the application of modeling software used in practice. Prerequisite: CIVL 625 . |
