ELEC 572 Computer Networks and Socket Programming3 semester hours This course is an introduction to the architecture of computer networks and the internet. The course consists of both lectures and laboratory assignments. The lectures cover concepts of each of the layers of the TCP/IP architecture for computer networks. The lab assignments follow a hands-on approach on the analysis, programming, and debugging of communication protocols at each of the layers. For every meeting time, students will receive a lecture, which will be followed by a lab session. In the lab sessions, students will apply the concepts introduced in the lecture. |
