ITAL 2102 Italian 24 semester hours Emphasizing communicative and linguistic skills, this course is a continuation of ITAL 2101 . The principal goal of the curriculum is to develop the four basic language skills--listening, speaking, reading, and writing--in classes that are taught exclusively in Italian. New grammatical material introduced includes direct and indirect object pronouns, imperfect and future tenses, and the use of negative expressions. Students increase their vocabulary through further study of Italian culture past and present. Prerequisite: ITAL 2101 or by LMU placement exam. University Core fulfilled: Flag: Oral Skills. |
