ITAL 2103 Italian 34 semester hours Emphasizing communicative and linguistic skills, this course is a continuation of ITAL 2102 . The goal of the curriculum is to develop the four basic language skills--listening, speaking, reading, and writing--at the appropriate level of proficiency in classes that are taught exclusively in Italian. New materials covered include the subjunctive modes, hypothetical sentences, double pronouns, comparisons, and superlatives. Students familiarize themselves with additional aspects of Italian history, culture, and politics. Prerequisite: ITAL 2102 or by LMU placement exam. University Core fulfilled: Flag: Oral Skills. |
