BIOL 477 Conservation Genetics4 semester hours Survey of the major topics in conservation genetics. Basic models of population genetics and topics relevant to conservation genetics, such as population structure, inbreeding, genetic load, genetic variation, reserve design, and the ethical, moral, and political aspects of species conservation. Lecture, 3 hours; Laboratory, 4 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 101 , BIOL 102 , BIOL 111 , BIOL 112 , BIOL 202 . Consent of instructor required. |
