MATH 388 Survey of Biomathematics3 semester hours Introduction to the application of mathematical tools and techniques in biology. Application areas range from gene regulatory networks to physiological systems to ecology and environment biology. Mathematical methods include deterministic and probabilistic approaches to modeling dynamical systems, development, analysis, and simulation of model equations, and problems of fitting models to data. Prerequisites: BIOL 101 and MATH 123 or MATH 132 . |
