CIVL 410 Soil Mechanics

Soil formation and classification, physical and mechanical properties, soil-water interaction and flow, compaction, stresses in soils, compressibility and consolidation, strength, and open-ended design problems.

Lecture, 3 hours; Laboratory, 3 hours.

Prerequisites: CIVL 2300 and CIVL 3100 .
