MATH 181 Introduction to Programming 


2 semester hours

An introduction to the basics of procedural programming useful for solving problems in mathematics, science, and engineering. Root finding, integration, and other mathematical methods (e.g. numerical differentiation, interpolation, and line-fitting) will be covered. Suggested programming languages and software may include Python, R, MATLAB. For Mathematics majors and minors only, or by consent of instructor. 

Prerequisite: MATH 131 or equivalent.
