Introduction/Overview


This program provides board-approved training and preparation to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification exam. The BCBA Certificate program allows holders to provide behavior management services, at home and at school, to students and families in need. An increasing number of Regional Centers and school administrators stipulate that those who provide behavior intervention to their consumers and students must hold this certification. Graduates seeking BCBA certification must go on to take the BCBA exam and complete 1,500 hours of supervised fieldwork.

Program Admissions Requirements


  • Graduate Application
  • Statement of Intent
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
  • Conferred M.A. degree from an accredited institution in the areas of Psychology, Education, or Applied Behavior Analysis
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Verification of previous work experience with students and adults with behavior challenges
