Description
Students earning a certificate in Groundwater Management will:
- Understand the principles of groundwater flow and the movement of contaminants in groundwater; be able to understand the principles in locating and designing municipal production wells.
- Understand the principles of managing groundwater basins and conjunctive use of surface and groundwater, and be knowledgeable in groundwater rights and groundwater basin adjudication.
- Apply advanced computer models to groundwater and surface water systems.
All applicants must hold an undergraduate or higher-level degree.
All applicants are required to submit:
- A completed application form and $50 application fee
- Official Transcripts of all colleges and universities attended
- A letter of intent (approximately 1.5 pages) describing the candidate’s background, career goals, and interest in the program
Requirements
To obtain a certificate, students must complete the required courses with a 3.0 grade point average or higher.
