Department: Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science
Modality: In-Person
Semester Hours: 24
The Statistics and Data Science minor is designed for students in other majors who wish to broaden their knowledge and skills in statistics and/or data science. Courses may be chosen to focus on particular areas of interest to the student, whether that is statistical analysis of large data sets, algorithms for machine learning and artificial intelligence, or a combination of both. The minor provides knowledge and skills valuable for Computer Science, Economics, Psychology, Finance, etc. - more generally, for any student pursuing a career or graduate education in a field that requires managing large amounts of quantitative data.
